This ceramic lamb human sculpture represents the coming of spring. The figure resembles a young girl combined with lamb ears and hair like the coat of a lamb. Her ears are deliberately not level to represent the uneven hair bunches of a young child.
It is named the Innocence of Spring as it symbolises themes of renewal and innocence, perfectly evoking the freshness of the spring season.
Hand-built using stoneware clay and glazed in a combination of a light spring green and white glazes with oxides.
Measuring 24cm high to the top of her head, with a width of 20cm and a depth of 14cm.
She is a very textured piece with some glazed and some unglazed areas. This is intentional to add interest and depth and to increase the desire to explore the texture.
